Question about wintec saddles?
I have been looking for a saddle for a high withered tb. I am on a budget ($500 is pretty much my limit). I actually want a synthetic because I am going to be doing a lot of beach riding and I don’t want to have to worry about the saddle.I was looking at the wintec website and saw a “cair panel insert system”. But I have no idea what that is. Does a saddle fitter have to install them, or can you? And what do they do? Like do the front ones raise the front of the saddle for a high-withered horse? Thanks!

I have the Wintec dressage saddle with cair panels and interchangeable gullet system! I really like it, it’s pretty easy to change the gullet, it takes 2 screws (I think just 2, haven’t changed mine in a while) so you just need a screwdriver. You get a set of gullets that are different widths and heights, and a measuring device to help you choose which one to use on your horse, and they are color coded. You peel back some velcro and replace the gullet peice (it’s just the front part that goes over the withers) and then put the heavy duty velcro stuff back in place and it’s ready to go! I really like mine, it’s very comfortable and useful. I have used mine on quarter horses, draft horses and also arabians and thoroughbreds, all very easy. I bet the synthetic would be great for the beach, too, but it still looks really nice.
