A Deeper Perspective about Liquid Diet Weight Loss

Liquid diets to induce weight loss have been around for some time now. People can debate as to which is the ultimate liquid diet weight loss system and perhaps the discussion will never end. There is one true thing about consuming liquids though: we need it more than food to survive in the worse case scenario.

It had happened to a friend of mine who was a season adventurer and trekker and he had gone off on a week long hike in an arid and humid area, somewhat like the combination of the Arizona and Sahara desserts. He had brought food and provisions for that week and yet somehow on the third day, he had lost most of his food, save for his liquids. For the next two days, he subsisted on these liquids sleeping during the day to conserve energy and traveling late afternoon and into the evening. Upon reaching his destination, he says he seemed fine; he was hungry but not dehydrated. I asked him why he didn’t call in for help and he told me that it was ok since he had his liquids left. It would have been a different story if he had his food but lost his liquids. This forced liquid diet weight loss experience he undertook had a great ending though. As he went to the emergency room to be treated, he was asked by the attending emergency room doctor a series of routine questions which he replied to in his best effort, despite looking haggard and smelling not too good. They hit it off. They are now married and are expecting their first child anytime soon. They went on a wilderness honeymoon, by the way.

I myself have had favorable results using the liquid diet weight loss systems that are still in place. I have tried those shakes and they worked fine. I also tried those that tasted like alka seltzer and though its taste was not as interesting as the shakes, it did its job. I have also tried the combination of liquid supplements with some solid foods as well. All in all, the secret to doing well in a liquid diet weight loss program is that you must want to do it. You must also be willing to be steadfast about the program and know what you want to get out of it. By being realistic in your goals and conservative in your estimates in losing weight, the liquid diet weight loss program does not become a burden, but more of normal activities like waking up, sleeping, walking. If you are able to have that mind set, then without any doubt, you will achieve your goals using that liquid diet weight loss technique.

Cfl Week 3 Football Previews

CFL Week 3 Previews

By CFL Handicapper Ron Raymond of Phoenixsports.com

The CFL Week 3 previews are dedicated to a man who gave CFL fans a great ride for 40 years with all his dedication and passion for the game of football. Bob Ackles will be sorely missed by his family friends and peers. Bob Ackles was the President and CEO of the BC Lions and the author of the book “The Waterboy”. Bob Ackles past away this past weekend at the age of 69 years old and is one of the most respected builders of the CFL game.

Now, speaking of the BC Lions, Wally Buono and the Lions are off to a rough 0-2 start, losing both games by 10 points and they are facing another desperate 0-2 team in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. However, if you recalled in my CFL Football previews, I wrote how the Lions like to start late out of the gate, as they are 23-26 SU in Week 1 to 4 since 1996.

History tells us it’s not going to get any easier for the Lions this week, as they are 0-3 ATS and SU when they face an opponent who started a season at 0-2 SU and the OVER is 3-0-0.

Calgary (51) vs. Montreal (-3)

Stampeders at Alouettes History: Calgary is 5-7-0 (ATS), 4-8 (SU) and the OVER is 10-2-0 since 1996 when they travel to Montréal.

The Montreal Alouettes bolted to an early lead last week vs. Winnipeg, as they were up 31-7 at halftime and looked like they had this game in cruise control. However, a different Winnipeg Blue Bombers team showed up in the second half, as they were able to cut into the lead and before you can say “bob’s your uncle”, it was 31-24! Then the turning point of the game took place late in the fourth quarter, Anthony Calvillo scampered for 16 yards on a second and 15 and drove the team for a score which put the nail in the coffin for the Bombers on that night. Calgary on the other hand, fell to their provincial rivals, they lost 34-31 in an exciting 4th Quarter, as the Stamps trailed most of the game and just when you thought they protected the lead, Ricky Ray hit Jason Tucker on a 36-yards pass in the dying minutes to secure the win. Calgary is not a good betting position this Thursday night at Molson Percival Stadium, they are 5-10-1 ATS as a Road Underdog in July. Meanwhile, the Alouettes are 7-3-0 ATS as a favorite in July since ‘96, but get this; they are only 5-5 SU! Also, from a betting perspective, the Montreal Alouettes are 17-3 SU at home after playing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Plus, this is a great QB matchup for Week 3; Henry Burris vs. Anthony Calvillo and keep in mind, Dave Dickenson is the back up in Calgary, while Montreal counters with Banks and McPherson.

ATSDatabase.com Stat of the Game: When MONTREAL team played as Home team as a Favorite -Vs Non Division Opponent – Coming off a game scored 38 points or more; The OVER is 9-2-1 for the Montreal Alouettes in this role since ’96.

Toronto (45) vs. Edmonton (-2.5)

Argonauts at Eskimos History: Toronto is 9-3-0 (ATS & SU), while the O/U is 4-8-0 since ’97 for the Argos in games played in Edmonton since ’96.

Well, it didn’t take long for the media to crash Argos Head Coach Rich Stubler’s honeymoon, as it seems there’s already a QB controversy in Argo land! Toronto suffered one of its worst home defeats in recent memory, as they lost to the Hamilton Tiger Cats 32-13 as a -10.5 point home favorite. In fact, prior to the Tiger Cats game, the Argos were 20-0 SU as a -10.0 or more home favorite since 1996. The last time they lost in this fashion was in Week 7 of the 2006 season vs. the BC Lions, the Lions tamed the Argos 28-8, but they were a +2.5 home underdog in that case. Nevertheless, last week’s beating was enough for one of the owners (David Cynamon) of the Argos to sound off, he blasted the team in the media and went on “Off the Record” with Michael Landsberg and took no prisoners in his criticism.  Plus, the Argonauts bench boss is pushing the panic button a bit prematurely this week vs. the Eskimos, he revoked the play calling duties from the offensive coordinator Steve Buratto and gave Kerry Joseph the keys to the offense, as he will be calling his own plays vs. Edmonton this week. The Argos are in a bad betting situation this Thursday, because when they are a  Road team as an Underdog, during Week 1 to 4 of a season and they are coming off a game that went over the total, they are 0-5 SU in this role since ’96. Edmonton on the other hand, seemed to have found the offensive playbook last week; Ricky Ray looked like the old gunslinger from pass season and finished the night hitting 65.9% of his passes for 448 yards.

ATSDatabase.com Stat of the Game: When ANY CFL Team played as a Road team -With 6 day off -Vs Non Conference Opponent – Allowed score 31 points or more against – Coming off a Loss over Hamilton opponent; The UNDER is 10-2-0 for the Road Team in this role since ’96.

Ron Raymond’s Pick on this game: Click here

BC Lions (48.5) vs. Winnipeg (-2.5)

Lions at Blue Bombers History: BC is 8-6-1 (ATS), 8-7 (SU) and the UNDER is 11-3-1 for the Lions when they travel to Winnipeg to face the Blue Bombers.

The Battle of the 0-2 teams face off on TSN’s Wendy’s Friday Night football in Week 3! The bookmakers have opened with the Blue Bombers as a -2.5 point home favorite and they are 15-3 ATS and SU as a -3.0 point or less home favorite since 1996. While the Lions are 9-14-0 ATS, 7-15-1 SU as a +3.0 point or less road underdog and the UNDER is 13-8-1 for them in this spot. Furthermore, the Lions seem to struggle on defense via the ground, they are ranked 7th vs. the run, but rank 1st vs. the pass. Winnipeg will no doubt want to get Charles Roberts involved this weekend, as the Bombers offense seems to get rolling when he’s more involved. In fact, Doug Berry might want to consider running the ball a bit more, the Bombers are ranked last in yards rushing with 104 yards on the ground this season. However, it’s pretty tough to run the ball when you’re playing catch up like they were last weekend vs. Montreal and the Argos defense held the fort in Week 1. Expect much of the same type of game Toronto and Winnipeg played in Week 1 at Canad Inn Stadium and look for the Bombers to give the lions a heavy dose of Charles Roberts.

ATSDatabase.com Stat of the Game: When WINNIPEG team played as Home team as a Favorite – Coming off a 1 game over; The Blue Bombers are 17-1 SU in this role since ’96.

Ron Raymond’s Pick on this game: Click here

Saskatchewan (46) vs. Hamilton (-2)

Roughriders at Tiger Cats History: Saskatchewan is 8-4-0 ATS, 5-7 SU and the UNDER is 8-3-1 at Ivor Wynne Stadium since ’96.

The line opened up as a Pick’em on Monday, but once the 2-0 Roughriders announced former North Carolina Tar Heels QB Darian Durant was going to get the nod in place of injured starter Marcus Crandell, the public has bet this line up to -2.0 in the Ticats favor. Not a good spot for the Ticats, as they are 6-9-0 ATS as a -3.0 point or less home favorite and 7-8 SU. Plus, the Tiger Cats are coming off a huge win over the Toronto Argonauts last weekend as a +10.5 point road underdog and you’re always concern about a let down spot here for the Tabbies. Saskatchewan is riding the hot hand, they spanked Edmonton 34-13 at home in Week 1, went into the Lions den and beat up Wally’s boys by 10 points and now face one of the top one-two combos in Casey Printers and Jesse Lumsden on Saturday night. In fact, history tells us this is not a good spot for the Green Riders in Steel Town this Saturday afternoon (4pm start); the Roughriders are 0-6 SU when they are labeled a road underdog vs. Hamilton since 1996! The line makers seem to have the total a bit low in my opinion for this showdown, as I would have made the total around 48.5 to 49.0, but keep in mind the UNDER is 8-3-1 for the Roughriders when they play in Hamilton. To be honest, this game might be decided by the kickers, both Luca Congi and Nick Setta are two of the top kickers in the game today in the CFL.

ATSDatabase.com Stat of the Game: When ANY CFL Team played as a Home team -After a division game – Before a non conference game – Coming off a game scored 31 points or more – Coming off a Road win as a Underdog; The UNDER is 9-3-0 for the Home Team (Tiger cats) in this role since ’96.

A few critical Tips on Writing a Great Eulogy rough Draft

Some Important Tips on Writing a Great Eulogy coarse Draft

The main goal of the eulogy rough draft is to get it down on paper. Do all that you can to get the words out as they come to you. If you have issues getting the words out, do not give up. You can do this! Review your outline and remember that – in the final analysis – the editing process will help you ‘sculpt’ your creation to perfection.

Just Get it Out

do not fret about what precisely you are going to point out. Study your outline closely and expand on your key points by typing out your sentiments. Just follow the structure of the outline and let the ideas project themselves onto the paper.

One possibility is to pretend you are writing a letter to the deceased. In fact, some eulogies are written this way. If it seems more natural this way, maybe this is the way you should structure the whole eulogy.

However you write, just ensure that you are writing! Make it your goal to get words on the paper as quickly as possible .

Frame it

the start and end of your eulogy are your two most vital parts of the speech. The ideal beginning captures the interest of the listeners and sets the tone of the rest of the speech.

Many eulogy endings also re-highlight the beginnings. This creates a framing effect that is seen in several poems, pictures, songs, and other creative works. Creating a framing effect reminds the listener that the end is near and it re-enunciates your intial opening point. I highly endorse it.

Second River Niger Bridge and a Sea Port at Onitsha: Shall We Celebrate?

The River Niger Bridge connecting Asaba and Onitsha one side and the Western Nigeria with South-Eastern Nigeria, this bridge is strategically located between Asaba and Onitsha and was constructed by the nation’s former colonial masters, Britain in December 1965 at the cost of 5 million British pounds. The Bridge has obviously become old with frequent complaints by motorists and experts who believe that regular vehicular traffics and heavy duty trucks amongst others and indeed old age now causes the Bridge to become a trap. Most of the nuts and bolts used by the British colonial government cannot be found anywhere in the world because they have become obsolesced.

Frequent complaints from experts compelled the Federal Government to carry out some rehabilitation works on the bridge in 2005, but before now opinions have called for the construction of another bridge in what has become known as the second River Niger Bridge to avoid foreseen disasters that might befall motorists on the bridge. Much as the cry for the construction of second River Niger Bridge has persisted, the government of the country has turned deaf ears, stylishly making promises on awards of contracts for the construction of the second bridge. By now, every Nigerian has become inured to these pledges and promises which never get fulfilled. Claims and counter claims for the award of the contract have only become part of the national anthem of the nation recited by the nation’s leaders either whenever an election is coming up or towards the end of their tenure.

Experts wonder why the government is finding it absolutely impossible to construct the bridge which will link Asaba with Owerri. Dredging the bridge has also become one promise we have become familiar with, anyone who turns on his radio is bound to hear of the dredging of this River but we never see it done. Observers maintain that the dredging of the river will enable easy passage of cargo ships and boats to the northern parts of the country and will indeed open up the South-Eastern region but our government never contemplates this to be so for the reason we cannot tell. We hear the government on December 1st 2008 signed a contract totaling 34.4 Billion Naira for the dredging of this river. Has work started?

Looking at this region which is strategic to the country, one would have expected that the river be dredged, another bridge be constructed in addition to the existing one and a commercial seaport set-up. No one will ask for too much if he advocates that a seaport be built around this river Niger to make the people of South-East, Niger State and the core northern part of the country less dependent on Lagos ports. It is thoroughly impossible to believe that a nation which laments of congestion of ports in the nation and imposes so much duty and demurrage on its citizens as a decongestion policy cannot think of constructing another port in this region. If a port cannot be located here will it be located on a desert? We must ask ourselves this question.

With the Delta State Government constructing an International and cargo Airport in Asaba, which if completed will serve the commercial needs of the entire Igbo; it will also be wise if our government cogitate on constructing a sea port at the Onitsha end of the River Niger. We must not bury ourselves in cheap excuses because we know that with today’s technology in place, anything is achievable, as we have seen landlocked nations artificially create rivers.

It is not strictly an affair of the Igbo but a national project that will benefit the nation as a whole. This area is a vibrant one and should not be idle for reasons not obviously established. And if the British colonial government thought it wise to construct the only existing bridge in the area, why is it difficult to construct another for the Igbo. We tend to read a different meaning to it when we recall that uncountable numbers of bridges are found on one lagoon alone in Lagos, yet we cry for just one more bridge to added where we know it should imperatively exist. We know it as our right; we may be crying to have it in place where it should truly belong today, but one day, we there shall arise a true leader who will wish that true federalism with equality without regard to ethnic-nationalities be enthroned. We just might not bother ourselves any more as our rights will be restored, until then we shall continue to make our leaders see us as part of the federation of Nigeria and do to us what they have done in other places. Let there be second River Niger Bridge between Asaba and Onisha.

The Appalachian Trail: a Spiritual Path

REI’s wide-eyed Joe Rhoten, 28 (trail name: Backpacking Fool) describes a run-in with a mountain lion as sunset turned to dark. “We knew that he was following us along the trail – I could see the reflection of his eyes from my light and I thought I had seen another one behind us.” With no feline-free way to the next shelter, Rhoten and his friend flagged down a motorist and rode back to town, to start the hike anew. Despite lingering thoughts of mountain lions and “seeing tons of bear” Rhoten speaks with compassion about nature. “Rattlesnakes are gentlemen snakes; they give you a warning and leave you alone if you leave them alone. If you got bit by a rattlesnake, you must have really deserved it.”

Meeting with REI’s sober-sided Outreach Coordinator Mark Nelson, 53, and mellow equipment guru Joe Rhoten in Arlington, Virginia gave a new perspective to a mountaintop adventure. Rhoten hiked the 2,160 mile trail while taking six months off in 1998 from a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Adventure.

Nelson adds a camping conundrum: “Humans attract mice, mice attract snakes. It’s just knowing that snakes are out there – or having a mouse run across your face at two in the morning – that can keep you from having a good night’s sleep.”

According to Nelson and Rhoten, black bear blues, venomous bites or parasite-infected waters are the least of my worries. Human factors are often overlooked.

“People’s perception of where adventure ends and anxiety begins is this far apart,” Nelson gestures with his hands 12 inches away. “The fact is, most people develop anxiety the second they set foot outside of their house,” as Nelson narrows the gap to about an inch for emphasis. “You really need to be a creature of habit, think about what you are doing and eliminate distractions to keep focused on where you are going,” dispatches Nelson, like a concerned drill instructor preparing troops for combat.

Conversely, Rhoten is almost giddy. He describes how the Appalachian Trail transformed him from an introvert to embracing the company of other through-hikers. “It’s all about meeting people. People are amazing. The Appalachian Trail restored my faith in humanity.” Rhoten cites “Trail Magic” – the kindness encountered from others – whether a hot meal, ride into town or sandwiches and drinks left for hikers by complete strangers.

Historians tell us of Blue Ridge pioneer Daniel Boone running 60 miles in a day, with 35-pound rifle in tow. Thanks to lightweight, modern equipment and a well-defined trail, Rhoten managed a 19 hour, 40 mile hike along the Appalachian Trail, fighting: rain, fatigue-induced hallucinations and cold.

Nelson and Rhoten kept stressing minimizing the weight of my pack and strategic placement of gear to maximize: speed, the perception parameter and agility – all important safety considerations, especially when eight hours of each day is consumed by walking along a mountain ridge shouldering a pack growing heavier by the minute.

Shelters dot the trail every ten miles or so in the Shenandoah National Park – an easy day hike, for most. While many hikers speak wistfully of modern conveniences and prepared meals, they also report peak fitness and dramatic weight loss. For a week I could forfeit showers, air-conditioning and my wife‘s gourmet cooking.

Undermining Rhoten’s infectious exuberance was a nonchalant comment from my wife. “Be sure to give me your friend’s names and numbers (for funeral notices?) in case anything happens on the trail.” Gulp!

To make sure that the AT experience was for me, I took a hike in the early spring, with a stop at the Bearfence Mountain shelter. The whistling, swaying trees danced with the wind. A symphony of birdsong choreographed to a vision of this site at full swing:

camaraderie amongst weary hikers, a boisterous fire crackling with sparks and the spontaneous combustion of laughter amongst kindred spirits. Trail-tired bones collapse in a heap, a good night’s rest guaranteed before setting out again. Of such dreams life is made. Visions for the future and memories of the past tell us who we are. At the end, life’s activities are but a fleeting shadow – perhaps just a conduit to dreams and memories. Could intangibles we hold dear – like yearning for time in the wilderness – be what define our spiritual existence?

That afternoon’s epiphany steeled my desire to capture a glimpse of life on the Appalachian Trail.

On the AT

“Excuse me, I’m going crazy!” laughs Greg Towson, 50 a retired union carpenter from Kokomo, Indiana. I interrupted Towson chatting to himself early in the morning. As he broke down his camp, he spoke of the Appalachian Trail’s significance: “My youngest daughter died three years ago. Being on the trail lets me talk to God and cry when I need to.” Averaging 10-12 miles per day, often more, a fit and rugged Towson has 900 miles behind him. What keeps Towson going? “In a week I will hit my 1,200 mile mark in Harper’s Ferry. I am going to take a day off there.”

Many hikers diesel past us – like a big rig in the fast lane, with a long-overdue shipment. Burning up 20 miles daily for a week at a time, many through-hikers see little more than the finish line in Maine.

But such as hasty strategy leaves some unfulfilled. “I sold my house and belongings for a second attempt at completing the Appalachian Trail,” mourns Vicki “Baby Steps” Jones, 37 of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Starting on April 2nd to avoid the bad luck of April Fool’s Day, Jones found herself in a blizzard. “I don’t think I am going to make it again this year. I like to listen to the sounds of the woods and look at things.” Jones is torn between unfulfilled goals and wanting to learn more lessons of the trail. “I was a perfectionist and control freak. I had to do everything myself. The Appalachian Trail has taught me to slow down, let go, take a step back and give myself a break.”

Amidst a pack of “get-there-itis” hikers, Jones is on a path of her own. “The Appalachian Trail gets you right back to basics. When we go into a Wal-Mart to get supplies, I’m overwhelmed by the consumerism. I really don’t need much. Being inside is over-rated,” Jones laughs. “The AT gives you a good adjustment.”

Others find the Appalachian Trail provides benefits beyond a clearer perspective. “As a mother, my family is constantly under threat of being pulled away,” notes homemaker Jan Shaw, 55. Shaw’s husband is a North Carolina lung specialist. Her three children enjoy varied academic pursuits, from music abroad to medical school. “Being on the Appalachian Trail brings us together at the same place at the same time – free of distractions.” The Shaw family enjoys a lively discussion atop Hazeltop Mountain – providing one of the most panoramic views along the Appalachian Trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Daughter Caroline, 22 cites recent Bush Administration policies she sees as detrimental to wildlife preservation and savors the moment. “I am glad the Shenandoah National Park is still here, and hope that it remains.” To Robert Shaw, MD, 55 he’s happy to hike and camp with his family, free from stress. “There’s more to life than cell phones and traffic. The Appalachian Trail and backwoods camping gives us a touch of being self-sufficient. The AT makes us grateful for food and water.”

Other trail hikers contemplate the big picture and capture clever insights. Job-less Mike Fagerstrom, 23 of New Jersey is taking graduate courses in history. He seized upon the freedom and relatively low cost of the AT experience. With 1,000 miles (roughly 5.3 million steps) behind him, Fagerstrom offers: “Hike your own hike. Too many people fixate on mileage, gear and calories. They think hiking the AT is a competition and move as part of a pack. It’s important to not lose sight of why you started. For me, it was a love of nature. My role is to co-exist with nature and other through-hikers, meeting a variety of people and enjoying a lot of good relationships. Try to redefine why you are here every day.”

Welcome To The City Of Havana

Someone once said that describing Havana is as difficult as describing poetry. This statement is very true. Havana, the capital city of Cuba is like a big open-air museum, but with swinging nightlife, hardly any commercialization and extremely friendly people. Admirable architecture of old Havana makes Cuba’s capital the most preserved colonial city in the Americas. There is no wonder why so many travelers have Havana as top destination on their wish list. But even if you’re a worldly traveler, expect to be left in awe. The culture shock of colonial, ice-cream colored buildings in the background and Al Capone era cruisers in the foreground delivers amazement you have not known before.

The City of Havana

There is simply no other place like Havana. Its brilliant Spanish colonial buildings with the ruins of ancient beautiful architecture are just one part of it. But if buildings and architecture don’t fascinate you, sheer exuberance and liveliness of the local people dancing to their unique flavour of music will. If you love music, you’ll love Havana. If you love old buildings, you’ll love Havana, if you love old cars, you will absolutely love Havana. But even if none of the above particularly interests you, you’ll still love Havana. The people, the way of life, the weather – everything about that city is so inviting it truly is a dream destination.

Comparing Havana to Other Cities

In my time I travelled all over the world and visited dozens of large cities, nowhere I’ve ever been lives up to Havana.

Safe: Havana is an incredibly safe city. Young women can roam the streets at night in total safety. It’s actually the safest capital city I have ever visited. Common sense states that you should always be aware of your surroundings, but Havana really does set the standard. No other city in the world compares.

The City that doesn’t sleep: it’s a bit of a cliché but the city of Havana really doesn’t sleep. The character of Havana hasn’t changed in many years.

Beautiful beaches: the beaches of Havana really are something to behold. Playa del Este is easily right up there as the most beautiful tropical paradise on the planet.

Photography: no matter where you visit or where you turn there is always something fantastic to take photographs of. Whether it’s an old lady uncharacteristically smoking an enormous Cuban cigar, the wild locals partying hard, you really should take double the memory sticks you usually take abroad. You will definitely run out before the vacation ends.

The rich cultural life: you’ll be blown away by the amazingly diverse range of attractions. These range from galleries, theatres, cinemas, ballets and museums.

Amazingly rich history: Havana is widely recognized as one of the planets richest and most visually breathtaking cities also.

Happy Halloween V — Halloween Parade (down Part)

New York City’s Greenwich Village Halloween Parade could be the annual event of Greenwich Village. The parade was originated from the year of 1973. Initially it was only a simple idea came from a mask maker who is also a puppeteer Ralph Lee. At that time he took a few kids held a small Halloween parade in the community, and later it gradually developed into a large-scale activity throughout the village.

In the parade there are bound to have a event of large-scale puppet show, at the same time, the aim of the parade is hoping everyone are all participants rather than bystanders, so even if the person who originally were only want to act as a watcher, but when he or she entered in the village, he will soon to be invited to join the parade group and become part of them. In the following year, the New York Theater invited him to bring the idea to Main Street, then the annual parade began, and later the last week of October was been formally designated as “Halloweek”.

Now, the New York’s Halloween Parade has attracted thousands of New York peoples and tourists each year, and the parade was held in Greenwich Village the teams began at about 7:00pm and started from the 6th Avenue & Spring, and till to the 6th Avenue & 23rd Street, the entire parade process will probably lasted more than 3 hours.

Among the big parade procession, you can see all sorts of exotic dresses and fancy costumes everywhere, even if the New Yorkers who have seen various stranges and bizarreries were also amazed by it. In addition, there are several giant puppets operated by a few peoples to show fantasy images corporeally. Finally, the parade route will extended to the most wild and crazy gay district in New York, and the streets and alleyways were become crowded with those cross-dressers who were all trying their best to playact, the scenery bought a perfect end to this crazy big gathering.

The visitor, no matter come from Asia, South America, Africa, Europe, even Middle East, could dressed himself up into a variety of characters or figures, and a piece of simple musical instrument could been bought along, for purpose of playing local and unique music impromptu for people, and to blend with endemic cultures without borders. In the views of those visitors who have never taken part in the activities of Halloween, not to mention such a wonderful parade, the Halloween parade is so novel and beyond interesting.

The Parade each year has a different theme, such as environmental protection, AIDS and so on. In 2002, for the reason of the event “9-11 terrorist attacks taken place in last year, Greenwich Village erected a statue of the phoenix which is ready to fly up, and used it as a symbol of the reborn after a baptism of fire of New York. This year’s parade theme is “play”, and the parade fans all over the world must have been marched in New York with their tippy toes, let’s wait and see.

It is one of the most peaceful and the oldest trails in the history of this area. Many of the explorers, philosophers and great pioneers of the past have used this trail to reach new lands. Of course you can go anywhere, but the place not to be missed is the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests for horse camping and hiking trails. Situated in north central Colorado, this forest and grassland covers 1.5 million acres of land. It starts from the north of the Wyoming border that is to the south; and goes up to Interstate 70 towards Mount Evans. This forest covers up the Continental Divide going to the William Fork area, from the west side. This forest is so expanded and has a lot of wild animals to be seen. So if you decide to visit this place, then in spite with all the luxuries provided, you will be extremely happy to see the wild species roaming around.

Classic Drives – The Rocky Mountains Adventure Tour

The Rocky Mountains spectacular mountain scenery, pristine national parks, fascinating old gold mining towns, and authentic wild-west re-creations attract millions of visitors to the region every year. The Rockies stretch from Canada to New Mexico (more than 3,000 miles) and are perfect for touring, especially during the summer months, when the temperature (during the day) averages a very comfortable 70-80 degrees F. It gets very cold here in winter, so plan your drive for the warmer months, when roads are sure to be open and the attractions are at their best.

If you’re an independent traveler that enjoys touring by car, here’s an itinerary that includes some of the regional highlights. Travel time is about two weeks and the total distance about 1500 miles. Be sure to take your rain gear and of course your camera.

On your first day, take a good look around Denver – especially the lower downtown area, with its trendy shops, restaurants and galleries. If you’ve still got time, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is worth a visit.

Next day, head for Cheyenne, just 102 miles to the north. An interesting place to stay is the Nagle Warren B&B (an 1880s cattleman’s mansion). Be sure to visit the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, to have a look at their western art exhibitions. Every July, the town celebrates Frontier Days, complete with parade, rodeo and many wild-west themed events.

There’s lots to see in South Dakota, so make an early start and head for Custer State Park, about 264 miles to the northeast. Plan to stay at least a couple of nights. The park, located in the Black Hills, has 71,000 acres of spectacular terrain, terrific fishing, jeep tours to see the bison herds, and panoramic hiking trails. You can stay at the State Game Lodge, or pitch your tent in a pine forest alongside a gently flowing stream.

Back to Wyoming and beyond
Drive back to Wyoming, northwest to Sheridan (235 miles), where a stay at the Ranch at Ucross, Clearmont, (about 30 miles south of Sheridan) features delicious home cooking, and a sing along in the evening around the piano. It’s a great way to get the feel of this ranching area, set between the plains to the east and the Big Horn Mountains to the west.

Start out early and head due west, for the 240-mile trip to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The area is known for its scenic beauty, wildlife, and geothermal activity – two-thirds of the world’s geysers are located in the park! Be sure to book your accommodation well ahead and stay for at least two nights. And watch out for the bears!

The next leg of your journey is a short drive (80 miles) to the magnificent Grand Teton National Park, with its dramatic, jagged mountains, pristine lakes, and glaciers. Here there’s plenty of outdoor activity – boating and fishing, hiking, climbing and horseback riding – so plan on staying for at least a couple of days. For accommodation, you might try the Painted Buffalo in Jackson – a very trendy, friendly town.

Start off early and you’ll get to Steamboat Springs for lunch (385 miles). Along the Victorian boardwalk you’ll find many western-style restaurants where you can sample the renown Rocky Mountain oysters (bull testicles). In the afternoon, take a look through the antique shops or try a relaxing tube cruise down the Tampa River. Then early next morning, before the 3-hour drive back to Denver, go for a hot air balloon ride – the perfect finish to a most memorable trip.
