Endurance saddle comparison?
What is an endurance saddle compariable to? QH bars or Arab bars etc?
Endurance saddle is a style whereas “bars” refers to the fit of the saddle. They come in all fittings and sizes.
For example I have a western style endurance saddle with FQH bars and designed for an arabian so it is shorter in the skirt and lower over the withers.
Endurance saddles generally have wide bearing surfaces to spread the load and are lightweight. My (part leather/part synthetic) western weights 17lb. including stirrups which compares to a normal English saddle. Some lightweight European saddles weigh half this.
They may have extra padding for the rider too but some are bare bones to reduce weight to a minimum
